Books on the Bedside Table
We live in a household with a constantly shifting bedside book collection. I used to be the kind of person that would start one book and refuse to crack open another until that one was finished, cover to cover, preface and epilogue included, no cheating, even if I started to loathe it. Those days are gone! I attribute my newfound freedom to Andy, who ALWAYS has at least four books on his side of the room choosing whatever he fancies, like a honeybee, tasting the nectar from a big tulip over here, and the lilacs over there, and a pear blossom across the road. It's such a satisfying way to read, how did I not do this before??
So here's what is currently stacked on our bedside tables:
A: Field Guide to Wildflowers, Ring of Bright Water, History of the Livingstons
J: Wreck and Order, The Invention of Nature, H.C. Westerman
